In a crowded teen mag market Bliss understood the need to engage its readers with a ‘Bliss’ experience. The Rock ‘n Shop sub brand was created to personify the mag in six large UK shopping centres in the summer hols.
Sponsors Playstation and Vauxhaul added a further dimension to the stage content which included a model search, makeovers and style advice, singing competitions and live artist performances, DJ’s and celebrity appearances.
We designed and built a large stage and catwalk with show-time lighting and full PA system. We created make-over pods while clever layout design allowed us to have zones for Singstar, and The Powderpuff Girls, two Vauxhaul people carriers, crowd barriers and promotional staff all within an often restrictive shopping mall environment. Bliss commented:
